Misiune
The contemporary media market is constantly changing as new technologies emerge and create new forms of engagement within networked online and offline institutions, groups, communities. The M.A. in Media Communication taught in English at FSPAC offers students a better understanding of media technologies, messages, production, distribution and reception practices and equips students with the skills necessary to become media consultants, media analysts, researchers, professional communication specialists, online system designers, campaign managers or spokespersons.
The curriculum features research-oriented courses that emphasize the use of new tools for data collection and analysis, project-based courses that encourage team-work and the development of professional competencies in real-life environments, skills-oriented courses focusing on digital media production, web design and storytelling and theoretical courses that aim to contextualize communication, describe frameworks and discuss the contributions of different scholars to media theory. The Media Communication M.A. program encourages the development of critical thinking, peer-learning and team-work in the multicultural Transylvanian context and FSPAC’s interdisciplinary framework.
